A neighbourhood Italian restaurant in East London, approx. 160 sqm, positioned as a warm, casual yet characterful trattoria. Amber walls densely hung with framed art, deep-brown leather banquettes and brass sconces create an intimate, retro and artful dining atmosphere.

Client needs: seating must balance long-stay comfort with high-turnover durability; wall banquettes must raise seat density in a compact space; the style must echo the art wall and warm tones; leather must be wear-resistant, easy to maintain and meet UK BS7176 commercial fire standards.

Solution

Deep-brown leather banquettes with white round and square tables along the walls for comfort and density; bentwood and wire-frame chairs in the main hall and bar, lightweight and durable; a marble-top bar with stools; all leather stain-treated and BS7176 fire-tested.

Result

Brown banquettes with warm walls, artwork and brass sconces form a unified retro-artful atmosphere; bentwood chairs are light and turnover-friendly; fire-rated stain-resistant leather balances texture and upkeep; the compact space balances ambience, comfort and commercial durability.
